Kitano Tenmangu is a shrine located in Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City. The enshrined god is Sugawara no Michizane, a god of learning and a master of writing.

We often see students visiting Kitano Tenmangu Shrine every year.
There are many statues of cows related to Sugawara no Michizane in the precincts, and it is said that if you stroke the part of your body that you want to improve, that part will improve.
When you visit Kitano Tenmangu, please remember that stroke cows in the precients them before returning.
It is also known that Sugawara no Michizane, a scholarly god popular with students, was a master of literary and martial art, and many swords are stored at this shrine.
It seems that those involved in swords and martial arts, such as kendo and jukendo, can also benefit from visiting Kitano Tenmangu.
